A 33-year-old hunter, Ganiyu Abdullaral, has been remanded in prison custody by an Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court for shooting a bush pig that allegedly transformed into his deceased fellow hunter, Iginla Oluwashina.
It was learnt that the animal transformed into his close friend and hunting colleague after he killed it.
Pulse reports that the strange incident reportedly happened on September 9, 2016, at Iwaraji Camp in Efon Alaaye-Ekiti.

The prosecutor in the case, Monica Ikebulo, had told the court that the accused claimed to have shot at the bush pig but was surprised when it later transformed into his friend.

Ikebulo added that the accused confessed that on the said date, he had gone on the hunting expedition with eight of his colleagues for a group hunting including Oluwashina and shot at the animal with his dane gun.

The prosecutor thereafter, applied for an adjournment of the case to enable her duplicate and send to the office of the Director of Public Prosecution for legal advice.

The Magistrate, Modupe Afeniforo, in her ruling, instructed Ikebulo to duplicate the file and send it to the Director of Public Prosecution for a legal opinion.
